Thoughts on Comedy Night from P.R.O.C
Pat Shortts Pub Comedy Night I did a gig last night in Pat Shortt's pub in Castlemartyr and what a sweet gig it was. Pat Shortt invited a few comedians to try out their comedy in his pub. The place was packed to the rafters and the atmosphere was amazing, the audience were so attentive to the comedians. MC Alan Hurley, Barry Magan, Gary Lynch, Ronan J Grace and Vinnie Brown all did a great gig.
Both Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny were in the audience and gave full attention to each comedian, which was a huge bonus. At the end Pat Shortt took to the stage and the place went ballistic for him he had the audience on a complete high, I never see so many cameras and phones in action.
After the gig both Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny took the time to speak to each of the comedians and offered advise and what ever information the comedians requested. Last night was really an amazing night and made possible by Pat Shortt who took the chance to back new and upcoming comedians. Both Shortt and Kenny had no bullshit about them and were really supportive of the comedians. This is what comedy should be about, and why these lads stand out form the rest of the crowd.
